Yu Yeti is a master student of guqin major in Central Conservatory of Music, instructed by Assoc. Prof. Zhao Xiaoxia. She is also the director of International guqin Association, a professional tutor of guqin major in Continuing Education of Central Conservatory of Music and a guqin teacher for Beijing Sport University. She has been studying guqin for 13 years and was directed by Prof. Li Xiangting for three years, who is one of the most esteemed guqin masters in China. In August 2016, she won the gold award of the Professional Youth Group in the Finals of Chinese National Instrumental Competition of the 8th International Huayue Cup in Singapore. In August 2017, she participated in the 2nd Raffles instrumental Competition in Singapore, and won the gold award of the Professional Youth Group and the special top award with excellent grade. In February 2018, she won the gold award of the Professional Youth Group in the first China-British International Music Festival. In the same year, she made lectures at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the General Administration of Sports respectively as the guqin player. Besides, being the leader and the guqin player, she organized C&P Forest Orchestra to tour around universities in Beijing such as Beijing Sports University, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in 2016. She participated in the guqin recording of teaching textbook named “Easy Steps to Chinese Music, guqin” of Music Confucius Institute, which was distributed worldwide. From 2018 to 2019, she was appointed to the Confucius Music Institute of the Royal Danish Academy of Music as volunteer teacher, taught and toured in Denmark, France, Sweden and other places to share traditional Chinese music and culture. In 2019, she published the album “Contemplation on the Seven-string”.
